Our friends at Pub 53 wanted a stylized fireplace to show on the TV in their bar during their annual Octoberfest party. I created a personalized looping fireplace animation, complete with photos of their family on the mantle. But I also thought it would be fun to put an “easter egg” in the loop where every ten minutes the camera pulls out and shows a scene with a skeleton drinking at the bar. To make it really fun and authentic, I took a bunch of pictures of his bar, and re-recreated it in 3D, so that the skeleton was sitting in a very close replica of the actual bar.
