This is the third single and title track from Chetes’ 2024 “Polvo De Estrellas” LP. This song is very personal to Chetes, as it was inspired by the loss of a family member. Chetes is a super fan of sci-fi films, so we created a personal story for him that could be set in space and pay homage to some of his favorite films. I created the storyline of Chetes being stuck on the moon, with no way to get home. He spends his days in isolation performing with his robot band, and playing with his hologram dog. The people depicted in the home movies are Chetes’ family in real life, and the holographic dog is modeled on Wicha, Chetes’ family dog.
I also wanted to pay homage to Monterrey MX, which is Chetes’ home city.
